'Mala' World Premiere 2000 The 'Mala' world premiere was performed to a packed audience at the Minkler Auditorium at Seneca College Toronto in Sept of 2000. 'Mala' enhanced and elaborated on the intricate 'malikas' of traditional classical music (garlands of ragas, talas and moorchanas) in a choral format and experimented on some new measures (talas) and their types (jaatis). "Mala" has subsequently been performed at various venues in Canada between 2000 and 2003. 'Mala' is being presented once again in Ottawa this summer.
